How to Fold Popcorn Boxes

Knowing how to fold popcorn boxes is a practical skill that can expand your repertoire as a perfect host or hostess. To add a touch of whimsy to a party or an evening of movies at home, popcorn boxes are a perfect solution. Before you start folding your unassembled boxes, you need a flat surface and paper glue.
First: Lay it all out
Place the popcorn box face down. The printed side should be against your table or work surface. Straight lines that extend from the top edge to the base should be visible. These are the vertical fold lines, and you need to crease the box panels along them.
Second: Stuck like glue
Along the edge of one side, there is a vertical tab. Apply glue to this tab, then fold the paper into the shape of a box and press this tab against the last side panel. Hold it firmly with your finger until it is glued in place.
Third: Fold into place
Fold the bottom flaps toward the inside of the box. Start with the pair that have a tab on one side. Proceed to the largest flap that extends across the width of the box and has a notch in the middle. Fold the last flap and tuck it into the slot. Use glue or tape to reinforce the bottom of the box.
Fourth: Finish it off
Add some finishing touches to your popcorn boxes. For example, use the popcorn box as a gift box by including colored tissue paper, or simply affix stickers or glitter. If you want to draw on the box though, do so before folding it.
