How to Make Moose Munch

Moose munch is a delicious treat that popcorn lovers of any age can enjoy. The process of how to make moose munch only takes about an hour to prepare and bake. Gather the necessary ingredients, including 2 gallons of plain microwave popcorn or caramel popcorn, brown sugar, butter and corn or maple syrup.

  1. First: Prep the moose

Preheat your oven to 250 degrees. In a sauce pan, combine 2 cups of brown sugar, 1 cup of butter and a 1/2 cup of corn or maple syrup. Bring it to a boil, and then slow boil it for five minutes. Do not stir. Pour this mixture over the popcorn and toss. Place the coated popcorn on a greased cookie sheet and bake for one hour. Make sure to stir the popcorn every twenty minutes.

  2. Second: Add the stuffing

The rest of the ingredients vary according to your tastes. Mini marshmallows, peanuts and chocolate chips work well. Use graham cracker pieces, almonds or other nuts, caramel chips or any sweet topping. Once the popcorn is cooked, take about half and combine it with your chosen ingredients.

  3. Third: A chocolatey end

Melt the chocolate coating and pour over the popcorn. Add ingredients at this step as well if you want more goodies in your mix. It helps to group the popcorn mixture into clumps and let the coating harden. Break the coated popcorn apart into bite size pieces and combine it with the other half of the mixture. Save for later, give it as a gift or eat it as soon as it is cool!
